Choose wisely!
If you want to enhance your experience and make your cup of coffee more satisfying, you should get coffee as less processed as possible.
To do so, the first thing you need to keep in mind is that it will always be better to buy coffee beans.
Specialty Coffee brands offer coffee beans from different origins and with different notes. It’s a whole new world full of interesting and exotic flavors.
Coffee beans will definitely enhance your experience, both because of their flavors and because you will grind them. Brewing coffee becomes something more personal, spiritual, and relaxing. A moment of true enjoyment!
Always fresh!
Remember, the fresher the better!
Whether you prefer to use coffee beans or ground coffee, it’s better to keep your coffee as fresh as possible.
Please forget about storing your coffee for too many days or even months. It will definitely lose much of its properties, as well as its taste and notes.
If you have chosen to start the new exciting journey of grinding coffee beans, we strongly recommend you just grind the amount you´re using at the moment. Doing this will keep your coffee fresh and delicious.
Pay attention to the grinding
Once you start grinding your coffee, you will have to decide whether to use a manual or an electric grinder. As you may already know, we will always recommend manual 😉
Why? Because you can control the whole process and the experience will make you feel much better.
You should also know that the longer the coffee is in contact with the water, the coarser the grind should be. This means that, for filtering methods, you will use a coarser grind, and for automatic coffee makers (which is a faster preparation) you will use a finer grind.
What about the coffee maker?
Coffee making is an art and a passion. If you are passionate about coffee you must know that there are different types of coffee makers as well as different brewing methods.
Espresso machines operate using high pressure. This, combined with the high temperatures of the water, produces a faster and more intense brewing.
Filter coffee makers, such as Italian, chemex or French press, will produce a smoother brew over a longer period of time.
Take care of your coffee maker
At this point, another relevant advice we want to give you is to keep your coffee maker in good shape.
What does it mean? It means that you must take good care of it by keeping it clean so it doesn’t ruin your next cup due to coffee residuals.
All coffee makers with sealing rubbers should be constantly cleaned to prevent this.
How about storage?
Have you ever heard about pouring some ground coffee on a small plate into the fridge to absorb bad smells? Well, now you know! 😉
That’s the reason you would better keep your coffee away from any external influence by storing it into hermetically sealed containers.
By doing so your coffee will be well preserved for a longer period of time.
So, you already know! Drink some coffee! Much better if it's Colombian Coffee! 😌
